If you bought the $40 upgrade offer , it is almost certainly Pro.

You can use your upgrade key to activate afterwards.

(Ignore the tutorial title that has been added.) If you have windows 8.0 use the key that corresponds to your edition.

Not clear to me what you are doing or why you want to connect to the internet.

I think the tut added to my previous post has misled you. Ignore that.

Is that a flash you are booting?

Create a little text file in the "sources" folder of the installation/recovery drive media and save it as ei.cfg

sources.jpg

It should contain this:

[EditionID]
Professional
[Channel]
Retail
[VL]
0

I looks like this:

Seems you have winre.wim on the recovery flash and not the real boot.wim

Just out of intrest, can you find a .wim file on your flash?

If you can get into windows, the way forward is to try and register the reimage and osimage before attempting a refresh.

( It can be done from pe also, but that is too complicated to explain)

If you can get into windows, the way forward is to try and register the reimage ( which contains the recovery/refresh program ) and osimage ( which contains the actual os files needed for refresh/reinstall )l.

That is done with a guy called reagentc.

You might get away with just this command:

reagentc /enable.

Try it first and see.
