My OS is Windows 8. I normally backup my files to anexternal drive simply using the copy/past command. It always shows a progressbar so I always know when it's finished. Today is the first time I used Windowsfile history which I do like. But I see no progress bar nor does it tell whenit's finished. Is there a way I can see the progress or at least know when it'sfinished?
To those who have never used the Windows 8 file history, I would suggest taking a look at it. Today was the first time I used it and I like it. I have always made backups. But for years using the copy/paste command.I couldn't find a reason to use any other way since the copy/paste works great. And, it does work great. But since using the one in Windows 8, I have found out that it save a lot of hassle and it does exactly what I want. You don't even have to use the default settings. You can exclude or include any folder you want. It goes to prove that the adage, "You can't teach and old dog new tricks."is entirely wrong.
