I would suggest you download and burn the seatools .iso. Sure sounds like you may have a drive issue. Try and let windows disk check run overnight and see if it completes.

Windows 8 Extremely Slow

The disk check finished, but my computer is still sort of slow. I was able to install windft and sea tools though. I'm trying to hit the scan button for windft, but nothing is happening. As for sea tools, I am getting this error: unhandled expression occurred in your application
