I this is my first time posting to this site. I just finished upgrading my win 7 computer to 8.1. Everything went pretty good, other than one or two problems. The first is I have no sound. My computer is using Realtek HD audio. I have looked for drivers for it and have downloaded some, without any luck. So I am guess that I have downloaded the wrong ones. If anybody can help, I would appreciate it very much.
Now I have another question. I want to boot my computer so that it boots into the desktop mode. Now I looked on the internet and they tell how to do it. Basically they say check the Go to the desktop instead of Start when I sign in.The problem is, that line is not there. Everything else is just like they show in the pictures with the exception of that one line and i have no idea why. I have tried getting help via ms and that is a waste of time. Again, i can really use your help.
Thanks,
chuck
