Where's Aero?

Okay, my Windows Experience rating gives me a 2, because of my graphics card. Is there a place where you turn Aero on or off? I found the place on Systems where I can optimize appearance, but selecting it does not change anything (It had been set to "Let Windows decide for me").

I will boot back into 8 and have a look.

If Aero is already on and working well, the message I'm talking about will not appear. (so looking with a "good" system it can't be seen)

Right click desktop | Personalize

At the bottom it will say Troubleshoot Aero or something similar. Click it and it will turn it on for you.

Make sure the AMD driver is installed first though.

That seems awfully low. I just installed CP in a VM, on an old Radeon 4850 - I don't have a 5000 series - I get a WEI of 4.5 and that's low because it's in a VM. Can you post the WEI results please. Also, can you:

1. Right click on the desktop and select Screen resolution
2. Select Advanced settings
3. Select Adapter Type/Properties/Driver and post the details.
