Broe23,
Your answer is helpful yes, and I do know some programs are portable and can be run from usb..
Thank you for that.. If that is what my first question asked then yes ok you answered it..
Now let's say I want to try out 3 different Office programs, (liber office, Microsoft Office, and Open Office)
Unless I'm wrong or don't know enough, I assume I can't run those from usb..
Also when I install each of them it will change my registry and add stuff to my local folders etc.. I only have a 250 gig Samsung evo and space is important to me so I don't want leftover from uninstalls etc building up..
etc.. So I believe sandboxie allows me to install things and if I decide I don't like it, I just wipe out that virtual whatever-it's-called temporary space..
I'm looking for that kind of thing so yes your answer is correct but I believe some programs require me to install to use them.. (I think) and the speed of my usb sticks I'm not impressed with.. I'd rather use my SSD..
-Now my question is basically whose used sandboxie vs the other virtual manager programs like parallels or VMware windows... Etc..
Anyhow, yes I think you are correct and I'll just jump into sandboxie and see how it goes compared to the other virtual windows programs only because I don't care to install windows inside of windows..
Oh and I have a Lenovo laptop not a MacBook and I also am not scared or trying to "hide" my tracks.. This was solely to not have to uninstall things and just try them out..
