Me too, when converting films to different Nokia's I have. I definitely recommending it, it does a good job without being too slow.

I think it's a great program and yes, very fast. Inglourious Basterds is around 3 hours and I got it converted in 40 mins!

So, a lot of people talk up VLC. Is it a better player than WMP from any point, or is it just another approach at playing DVDs (in that, can it play DVDs where WMP skips)?

I use VLC player for years and can play almost anything.

When I'm on the computer I don't watch anything, don't have a TV Tuner in this machine and anyway I'd much prefer to watch programs on the TV, it's got a bigger screen than the computer besides the computers for working not sitting watching films.:p
