Personally I dont think there are enough warnings about REFRESH, RECOVERY, or RESETS!

You should have to press a key combo like (SHIFT)(ALT) R R R then type YES then click YES
so that it sinks in that this is something serious, and I better read whats about to happen to my computer..

Buying a new OS is cheap, recovering your data if even possible is not cheap! Its stressful, time consuming, and aggravating!

Computer manufacturers' support dept wants you to run recovery because it usually works, and gets them off the phone quickly.
However you lose ALL your data, pix, videos, programs, and customizations! They dont tell you this when youre trying to get your windows to work again, not thinking that you will sacrifice your data for a working windows!

Dual boot, use one to fix the other!

This way youre not pressed to do something rash because you need your computer now.

You have another OS standing by with all the same hardware, even image it to another partition and have a clone..

Also, some folks seem to think that "refresh" is the miracle cure to all ails -- which it is not.

Amen to that! I have never been on a forum where a common piece of advice is to blow away your entire os and start over. That in and of itself speaks volumes to 8 inadequacies.

Or just back up personal files and a system image regularly. I don't believe in supporting laziness.
