Hi all
If you want to keep using W8 preview etc after Mar DO download the latest updates and install
The update is just packaged in the general Windows Update procedure
REBOOT TWO OR 3 TIMES AFTER INSTALL and then you will see the correct date in the confirmation of January 2013
Type WINVER from a command prompt
Screen shot enc.
I don't know why it takes 2 or 3 re-boots for the correct date to appear but that's how it seems to work.
cheers

Hi there
since a LOT can happen in around a year why would you even THINK about trying to get round this.
Maybe this time next year we'll be looking at a W9 or Windows Galactica etc. preview !!

Because as of now you can strip down W8 so it looks identical to W7 - and for me it's a nice (free) way to give clients a demo/trial of a VM without running into any licensing or activation issues. A new version (W9 or whatever) means a new headache with drivers, etc. That's all, just curious.
