Hi there
Fortunately I'd backed up my system - but W8.1 Enterprise update has MISLEADING instructions.
If you run the setup from OUTSIDE windows the iso) (I.e boot and choose CUSTOM ) it tells you to run the setup again FROM WITHIN WINDOWS.
THen there's no upgrade path -- you can save personal files but that's it -- brand new install.
So disappointed - but have restored by old image.
Maybe W8.1 pro will upgrade but 8.1 Enterprise seems to force a new install. -- I'm sure "Enterprise customers" will just like that especially if they've just installed W8.1 a few months ago.
If there is a way to upgrade an existing W8.1 enterprise system to the new version without doing a complete re-install please post.
(Note ENTERPRISE --not PRO).
Cheers
