Solved it on my own! I just ended the Task Manager task, everything seems fine, nothing has died yet .
So I've been running Windows 8 for a while now, upgraded from Windows 7. Now that Microsoft has implemented a pretty good looking volume OSD I would like to disable the default one. This is pretty much a unbranded laptop, (no factory preinstalls).
It's that ugly thing in the top left. The only think I can think of is that it is part of RealTek. I haven't seen anything in Logitec SetPoint. My keyboard is from Razer, I don't think it's that. Only other thing it could be is this thing:
It has a little system tray icon that is called HotKey and a version number, I'm too worried to mess with it.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: Further looking at the second picture makes me feel like that is it. Again, it has files about the BIOS and stuff, so I'm a little timid to F*** with it.
Edit 2: When I go into Task Manager and turn up my volume the program goes away, then comes back when the OSD goes away. This has got to be it, I just don't know what to do about it.
