Hope this is the proper forum.
I'm having a few problems (symptoms) of a login in problem. The good news - I no longer need a password when W8 'wakes up.' But I still need a password (PIN) on startup. That I want to eliminate.
But that's not all. I've found 3 different ways to remove the password. None work. I've found I can reset my password but I nee my email address and Microsoft Account (apparently a number) which I don't know and don't see it in my documentation.
I'm using (rather, trying to) Syncback as my backup app. When I create a schedule for a run, I get a prompt for my Windows password. I enter my login password but get an "incorrect password" prompt. It is NOT the incorrect password.
Are all these symptoms of one problem? How do I find/remove my W8 password?
