Solved tried everything still cant install win 8 on acer laptop

Same problem here. I bought two days ago a fresh V5 531 laptop. I've installed Windows 7 x64 and tried to upgrade to 8 pro x64 but met the same blue window as saurabh. Also tried to install from scratch by booting with disc but same problem appears. Also tried 32bit version but ends to same screen.

go to acer official site there u will get a software to upgrade to windows 8 it installs sm drivers n updates bios automatically ota ...n after installin win8 it also installs drivers for win8 automatically

Coz currently my Laptop doesnt have any oS

it got formatted while installing 8

Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 - Windows 7 Forums
And don't enter a product key at setup, and then promptly upgrade to 8.

Hey i followed the steps told by the upgrade assistant.
But still the Same error message.
"IRQL_not_less_or_equal"

Yes.
EveryTime i try to install i m doing a Clean install
Deleting all the partitions in my HDD,
Getting an "UNALLOCATED SPACE : 465GB"
& Then making Partitions once again

& then installing Windows 8.
But after the getting devices ready page
The error come again

Even the ACER UPGRADE ASSISTANT TOOL doesnt hElP.
After following all steps same error appears again.

& that tool just downloaded AHCI & WAN drivers.

is it possible to load AHCI driver & BIOS at the installation screen of 8 ?

As you can delete & make partition, your SATA controller driver in loading.


Check the hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic tools.

i Tried with that AHCI driver also.
Still the same error coming

i m now frustrated as to none of the method works.

i have tried to install this freaking OS like 15 times.
But still the same error
