the touchpad, as well as touch screens can not take fingerprints. they detect where your finger goes, but it cant detect fingerprints, since it's just a glass with some electricity on it.

You REALLY believe that? Try this take some baby powder lightly sprinkle it onto your touchpad, then take a blush makeup brush and VERY lightly brush it off.. LOOKY there!! your fingerprints are ON it!! Now who's to say, that those fingerprint images cannot be transferred electronically to saaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Big Brother?

I thought it was well known feature, especially for people in Windows 8 forum.

This was the whole point of logging in with Windows live ID. It has been reported and documented fairly well since Windows build event:

Not possible, would have to come from the scraping under your fingernails, or skin cells. BUT there is always Windows 9!

If you create a local account it will keep you off the cloud.
MS have said that it is to help keep all our PC settings and restore them easily, but I think this is just the start. It is easy enough to back up your appdata so that you can quickly and easily restore every thing yourself. Our private information is worth big dollars to companies like MS, google, facebook etc. That they target you with advertising based on what you search, post and you friends details also.
I know it sounds very 'Big Brother' but it is true.
