My computer came from the factory as Windows 8 and then got upgraded to Windows 8.1. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and then had issues (with my flashdrives being recognized for one thing) so had a friend take a look at it and he basically installed a different version of Windows 10 over my already Windows 10 and when I ran sfc /SCANNOW it initially gave this message - Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log%WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.
Also my problem was still there so did a factory reset. After doing factory reset the sfc scan gave this message - Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations., which shows everything good. Then after some Windows updates started getting this message when ran sfc again - Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. Details are included in the CBS.Log%WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.
I guess I should take this as a good thing, but am a little paranoid because now it gets this message all the time and never gets the one that says no integrity violations were found. I really don't want to add a whole lot of programs until I know for sure everything is good now! Also this morning it failed on 36 updates. Sorry this is long-winded, but thought background info was necessary.
