/restorehealth Error: 0x800f0906

That is exactly how my log looked, several pages of characters. Move that log to another location and see if DISM will start another log.

You log seems to show the same as I have seen in other logs. You can check below, and our logs were exactly the same until this. I cannot explain what happened, but you can see the explanation of the error message.

This message is interesting in that I just ran and completed a /RestoreHealth operation with no internet connection. So trying to determine exactly what the message means might help lead to a solution.

First, the Source Files could not be found. If this is actually the case, does that mean access to them is being blocked or they are actually not on your system or they are corrupted and cannot be used.

I am sure you would say you have a good internet connection and are not using a metered connection. If you are using a WiFi connection, please check to make sure it is not set that way in Windows, or try switching to a wired connection.

If the folder containing these files were corrupted, it might explain both the cannot use and cannot download error descriptions.

If you are getting your Windows Updates without a problem, the solutions we used in Windows 7 may not be needed. But if you want, we can try some of those steps to see if we can rid your system of the corruption.

But my first suggestions would be to turn off any Anti-virus or firewall that might be blocking this connection. You could also try the operation from another Network location in case something about your Local configuration or your ISP is causing the problem.

I do not know why the Thread ID changed on your system, mine does not. Possibility because of the error encountered.
