No signal after factory reset

The only concern I have is that if you installed the new video card after initial setup so to install a driver for it. Then after factory reset you may have the wrong driver or no driver for it.

Dastrox, please post your specs or fill them out in your profile so to better help you.

If it's an Acer then 1 beep is the code for POSTing so as alphanumeric states it's probably not hardware, but software.

I don't know much about computers sorry guys but this is what I have, Pc Model: Acer AME600-UR368, then I replaced the power supply and the graphics card, Graphics card: Asus Radeon HD 7770, Power Supply: Antec 25 EA-430 Green, I can also access the Bios menu now

Thanks for posting your specs. That's good that you can get into the BIOS.

It has onboard graphics, so pull the video card to see if it boots. Unplug the machine so as to take caution of high voltage and then take cautious steps for static electricity.

Looks like your hunch was right. The onboard is Intel, which is what driver was loaded by the restore, and an NVidia card was added latter on. If that is the issue removing the add-in card should fix it. Past experience tells me that it "should" have worked anyway though? Even without a driver it should have worked as generic VGA. Like it would the first time you plug it in and boot up. In any case I think your on the right track and may help him get it working. :thumb:

Following sequence of events leads me to think that since most Acer mobos have Intel onboard graphics that when he added the card it loaded the driver for it via plug and play. Then the factory restore didn't or couldn't load the driver for it.

You have far more experience than me. Would not the card override the inboard graphics?

That's what I would expect o happen. Windows should auto detect it and use it as standard VGA, then download and install the correct full driver. That's what happens when you install the card for the first time and power up. You can't install the driver without the hardware being installed first.

Ok. My mistake. You are correct. I have no idea what I was looking in my search before. Therefore Winuser is correct.
