I built a desktop a few months ago, and it has been working ok until this week. I've been getting an I/O error (0xc00000e9) followed by an NLS error (0xc000000f) when I boot my PC. Before I got the error, my partner transferred a video they had on their phone and printed something off. My theory as to what caused this was that they did not eject their phone properly.
I have already tried booting off a USB w/ my windows installer and doing StartUp Repair, rebuilding BCD, and running a System Restore. All of these failed to go through and gave me an error message. I can't get into Safe Mode, so I can't check what's wrong with my hard drive. I am not really sure what else to do other than wipe everything off my computer or replace my SSD or hard drive, but I don't want to do that if I don't have to.
My chat with Windows Tech Support got me nowhere, so I'm just hoping someone else in this community has dealt with this issue and can tell me whats going on here. Thanks
