Need connection help

Just checked the Acer website for a bit of information on their laptops and windows 8.1. Acer | Windows 8.1 Update
This was listed by my laptop type:
4. Intel® does not supply drivers for computers with 2nd generation Intel® CoreTM (i3, i5 or i7-2xxx), Pentium® dual-core G6 or G8, or Celeron® G4, G5 or 8 series processors.
Could this potentially be my problem?

Not sure what you're talking about there, graphics drivers? We've been talking atheros wifi drivers. You trying to confuse me more? :)

I suppose if they are saying the motherboard chipset drivers then yes, I suppose it could have an impact.

But then again, you said it was working, now it is not. You always have the yellow triangle by the wifi in Device Manager right?

Yes, that yellow triangle is always there. Just searching for answers. I may have already screwed myself because in the process of opening the damned thing up, I may have broke something... the left half of the screen is now unresponsive to touch control. No I'm not trying to confuse you, promise. I think I will see if I can't return the thing when I return from vacation.... It has been Nothing but hassle, always been slow to do anything, unable to do almost anything without getting unbearably hot...
I only bought it a year ago, I guess we can see.

That sucks. I really hope you get it sorted out. The screen thing is a surprise. Isn't there a panel on the bottom that accesses the RAM and wifi card? Shouldn't come anywhere near anything to do with the screen. Again, good luck!

FIXED IT! Solution: I downloaded windows 8.1 before we left on vacation and I found out my card doesn't work on it... or something. I ended up just factory resetting the thing and all is good. Thanks everyone for the help.... I ended up breaking my touch screen in the process... but That's easier room replace than the whole computer.
