Solved Moving Program Files folder to another partition

Hi!

I have copied the program files folders (inc 64 bit) to my second hdd (d:) in win 8 pro via my install usb drive. When i loaded windows back up comodo firewall reports a problem saying im at risk and its not working properly and nothing can connect to the internet via my lan. Im guessing there are problems with permissions and ownership here. What do i do to correct them back to normal?

Hi
OK, then:

  1. Move F:\Program Files to G:\ => this will move everything to G:\Program Files
  2. Open elevated command prompt and type:

mklink /J "F:\Program Files" "G:\Program Files" => Must include the quotes

With this command, it creates a Junction Link for F:\Program Files so that it will not break any program links while physically everything is stored in G:\Program Files
if i format F and merge with some other drive will the link work?
if i changed the drive letter (say D) whether it will work?
kindly help..
thanks..

i have some question to topgundcp, a lil OOT..... is it works for any folder? cos i dont really need to move my "program files", cos some apps i could instal to different physical drive when im installing it (some apps wouldnt). what i want to do is to move "program data" and "users" folder which has more size than "program files"... could i?
