One other trap to look out for with software ...
As we have seen it's not unknown for items with a potential cost to be checked by default. There is also the possibility that you will be given more than one option for install, one will be Default or Express Etc, and the other will be Advanced or similar.
I would always advise that the advanced option is selected, and the options presented checked carefully.
These options can include unwanted extras, often browser toolbars, that you may not want. It's not a nice way to get products onto a user system but is becoming more common, You should uncheck any options you do not want, and accept the defaults for the remainder. this method takes longer and not all installs will try this type of thing but it is well worth the check, to prevent potential future issues
