Keyboard and mouse not working

Well Brink,
All was fine until a pop up came up and indicated that two devices were almost ready for use (printer and wireless keyboard and mouse). I clicked ok for it to complete the readiness...now I'm back to no keyboard and mouse. How would I go about rolling back that driver update? Don't know if I can get to system restore via F12...may have to try to get the "repair Win8" from the install disk. No telling how long that would run for given the install times originally.

have replaced the memory board battery; loaded memory defaults and saved; install of win 8 Pro is painfully slow...WAY too slow. Takes over 10 min just to load splash screen.
You could try to boot from a retail installation DVD/USB or system repair disc to do a system restore at boot.

From the install disk>System restore was successful to the point before the keyboard and mouse update> still no keyboard or mouse.
Now trying:
From the install disk>System restore back to the earliest restore point I have. (there were only 3 since this was a new OS on a new drive). The only other option if this does not work is to try a system "refresh" and I would have to load my programs again.
