is there a way to get back start menu button in desktop mode?

Kat, everything I have to say to that I wrote several months ago here, in response to your statement, "I thought I'd made this clear.....IMO there is no 'right' way or 'wrong' way, no 'better' or 'worse' way.".

And I still disagree with you.

Let's just leave it at that, eh?

No point going over it all again.

You reckon your way is best? Fine. Use it with my blessing.

But DO stop trying to suggest that MY way is in any way 'inferior'.

It's not. Just different.

Kat, I'm fine with that, because if I don't ignore you, I will refer you to my old post every time you reply to me and repeat the same silliness about "nothing being better or worse than anything else, just different". I responded to that once, and it doesn't merit any further effort. In case you don't get this either, I was not talking to you in this thread. I hadn't even see your posts when I replied to davehc, and I didn't refer to you specifically. That said, you certainly are one of the "number of people" I did refer to.

And I'll continue to disagree. I stand by what I said.

But I have no intention of starting a war or trashing threads over it.

On this forum alone, there are over 5,500 members. They'll all have
different ways of getting things done. Some won't know any keyboard
shortcuts at all apart from Ctrl-Alt-Delete and Alt-F4, others will hardly
ever touch a mouse. Some will pin, some won't. Some will have a desk-
top full of icons, others will have none. Many may have a lot of toolbars,
while others have none.

The point being that they are all different, and they all work for the
individual concerned.

And none of them are any more 'right' or 'wrong' or 'superior' or 'inferior'
to any other way.

You seem like a very 'my way,or the highway' sort of a person, as you seem
so unable or unwilling to see my point. Either that' or you are deliberately
being obtuse.

So, I'll 'agree to disagree' and say no more on the subject.

Now, let's move on, shall we?
