Hi folks,
I don't mean to be rude by signing up just to ask for help, but I'm kinda struggling. You might be familiar with this issue already but by internet is dropping out frequently, displaying as 'Limited' with no access. Running troubleshooter fixes it by resetting the network adapter, tells me 'the default gateway is not available', and it works for a while until it opts to drop out again. It's a little irritating. I've had to rewrite this post because the connection dropped while I was typing and I submitted without realising.
I'm using a Lenovo Z585, which has a wireless Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter. I've seen several topics about the same issue on this very forum, but unfortunately none of the offered solutions have worked for me. I forget everything I've tried as I've been at this over a year and only just decided to ask for help, but I've done the following recently;
*Made sure that 'allow the computer to turn off this device' is unchecked in Power Management.
*Updated the adapter's manufacturer drivers to the most modern version, and also the Microsoft option (connection drops entirely and forces a roll back in both cases). Current driver is dated from 2012.
*Manually entered the gateway IP (though there's a fair chance I did this incorrectly)
*Restarted the DHCP service
If anybody has any further potential options, I would be most grateful.
Here's my full ipconfig if it's required.
