I used the built in controller for the Revo. I set the Intel controller for RAID because of my dual boot--RAID 0 SATA 3's on the Intel controller and the Revo RAID 0 on its built in controller. Well, hummm? I am not aware of using the legacy BIOS, etc., in regard to the Revo. I first set up the SATA 3's RAID and later acquired the Revo. I was unsure what would happen when trying to install the Revo RAID so I disconnected the SATA 3's when installing the Revo. From there I simply, I think, accessed the Revo interface and set up the Revo RAID. After playing with it for a while, I reconnected the SATA 3's, and somewhat to my surprise everything worked perfectly UEFI/BIOS-wise AFAIK. Tell me how to tell whether I used the UEFI w/GPT. I'll try to check it out. I am hazy. I haven't used that machine too much in a while. We moved to a new house, and it now is upstairs.Hello znod,
Interesting. I'll have to play with that.
Did you setup the RAID for the Revo with the Intel controller or with the built-in Revo controller, or did you just enable Intel and still used the Revo controller?
Did you install Win7 as UEFI w/GPT or legacy BIOS w/MBR on the Revo?
For me the Revo works just fine installing Win8 using legacy BIOS w/MBR. It just will not continue installation after the first restart using UEFI w/GPT.
