Open the program and click Run Scan.

This will create a file called OTL.txt, attach the file to your next post.

Please uninstall the following software until we can verify what is causing the issue.

-Download Accelerator Plus by Speedbit
-Wizmouse by Comodo


Next, open OTL.exe > copy & paste the following into custom scans/fixes > click Run Fix.

Test to see how IE performs now. If you have any more trouble post a fresh OTL scan. I will make sure all the components from Speedbit have been removed.

Hi

IE11 has been running fine for a while now, thanks a lot for your help.

I need a Download Accelerator so I am going to reinstall DAP (paid Version) and try to leave out or remove the Speedbit extras and see what happens.

Before I do that I will wait to see if you have any comments on my intentions.

I am glad the issue has been resolved.

Looking at the support site for DAP I can see it does not yet support IE11. So if you install it again you will most likely run into problems.

I recommend Free Download Manager, which supports IE11.

Hi, please ignore, I've found it.

Thanks for the link, one problem with FDM is that I use Defender in W8.1 as an AV and cannot find out how to have FDM use it for
scanning downloaded files.
