IE10 not saving passwords

I've found over the years that it's a hit and miss affair with IE generally but with IE9 and 10 you have to watch out for that bar at the bottom that asks you if you want to save them.

If you open Tools/Internet Options/Content/Autocomplete you can alter the settings there: (click to enlarge)

To get the menu bar showiing right click the top of the page and select Menu Bar.

I've the Autocomplete Settings all checked off. I've unchecked the "Ask me before saving passwords" and then checked it again. I'm aware of the bar that comes up at the bottom of the page - the fact that it doesn't is what is most frustrating, and consequently passwords are not saved.

Do you not think that Microsoft is simply not addressing this issue the way they should?

I have not experienced any problems with IE not saving passwords, now or earlier. But, browsing through this thread, there is one thing I think you could try. In the "Content" "Autocomplete" section, I have "user names and passwords on forms" ticked.

I was sure that Autocomplete was mentioned in this thread (maybe another forum) but anyway - yea, everything is checked off in that.

Sorry "Checked off" ? I meant the mentioned item should be checked - maybe we are saying the same thing?
