Solved IE 11 total crash

God I hope that Norton has people on this NOW! I don't want to waste my entire Saturday fixing their Foul Up!

I think so after another update- my IE is certainly working. My reliability monitor's stability index looks horrible just from the earlier repeated crash loop though.

Don't know what who did but all is good now. Both machines are running fine now. For those still experience issues, try rebooting the machines. If that doesn't work, try updating both Norton and Windows. I had to do this one the laptop, but on desktop, IE just started working right after logging into Windows.

Peace

If you are running Norton it may be related to an update that went out and the machines that are working just haven't gotten it yet. I am having the issue on two computers I have. Take a look at:

https://community.norton.com/en/forums/tonights-update-crashing-ie11

Hopefully they send out a fix soon. Firefox & Chrome work fine for me.

I have Norton, I actually had 360, then it was running out and bought the latest version Norton Security. That worked well for a few days, Then last night my Windows Explorer browser in Windows 8.1 would not open without totally crashing. Would not open, only got an error 'BEX' . I had to roll back my computer to a couple days ago for my MSIE Browser to function again! it was 3 hours of hell to try to get my computer working again!

Jim

I'm not sure, my WS in the business were running last night but Browsers open, When I check about an hour ago all is well with them.
I just restored my notebook back to the 19th and all seem to be ok I'm typing now in IE 11 on it.
My Wife's All in one is again working after windows update and Norton update
I wonder what the heck went on?

It appears that updating Norton some time after 01:00 21 Feb 2015 solved the problem for most people verified in the Norton Forum.

I have Norton 360 and have been having a problem with IE 11 for some time. This morning it worked for about 10 minutes and then it started giving the error messages that everyone else is getting. I turned off IE and am now using Mozilla without any problems. I updated both Norton (it does automatically anyways) and Windows. I turned IE back on and the problem continues. I can even do any trouble shooting because every time I bring it up it crashes.
