To get the info of gfx, go to run and type dxdiag.
Based on the info and estimation of gfx, maybe you just need to upgrade the RAM to 8gb and buy a usb drive
i did that and for my pgraphics it is intel (r) hd graphics 3000, so does that meet the specification?
and for memory, all it said was dual channels, type:ddr3, and size 6050 mbytes
for gb i meant ram

Intel 3000 graphics is more than fine for Windows 8, unless if you want to do serious Photoshopping or 3D modeling. Even then, it'll be fine. But for the RAM, I have to wonder, what makes you want to add more RAM? Unless you have a solid state drive, I don't think two extra gigs will do too much to improve performance. Now a SSD, THAT will REALLY improve performance for Windows 8!
.......
Graphics Card (GDP only): Full OpenGL 3.3 (Recommended: 4.0 or higher) and DirectX 11 (or higher).

DirectX 10.1,
OpenGL 3.0
OpenGL 4.1. is not supported
Sorry, you don't have direct x 11 and you don't have open GL 3.3
Because it's a laptop, you cant upgrade the gfx. You must buy a new one.
correction "Because it's this laptop you can't upgrade the GPU " you can change the GPU on some laptopBecause it's a laptop, you cant upgrade the gfx. You must buy a new one.

Not on the ASUS X54C, dedicated mobile graphics cards are typically reserved for the higher end laptop or gaming laptop.

this is exactly what I said, Because " IT'S THIS LAPTOP" , you can't upgrade the GPU. read outside the box, I was correcting the post of Showdonw, so you have to read the rest of the sentence , I edit the post to make you understand, it'S seems you miss the ..... the first time.
