Solved Help needed Defrag Dual Boot System

Mike,
I was trying to say that mechanical HDs is an established technology, though not necessarily the perfect one, but familiar, if you well. I believe that SSDs will eventually replace the mechanical drives in the near future, but as I was trying to say, there are conflicting articles written by professionals about whether SSDs are trust worthy or not yet. You sound that you have full confidence in SSDs.

I don't know about others but with pretty over average traffic of data going thru my disks, I'm going to hit 1 PB in about 9 years. I suspect that by that time all of my drives will be obsolete anyway. Another thing is that I have seen and used few HDDs that were in storage for few years and many of them had problem starting up. That is not concern with SSDs.

This looks like an assuring reports that SSDs can be a safe replacement of our mechanical once. though from my experience in life and my work simple technology tend to be more reliable and last longer. Reading the pages of the reports in your post show that SSDs are sort of complicated technology, or at least that is what it looks to me, but again this is important to know that those drives are coming close to replace the mechanical drives.

A lot of misquotes stem from the time SSDs just started up, things are getting better all the time. This Kingston of mine has been for a rough ride last year and a half, it's one of cheapest out there and is still 100% and even a tiny bit faster than at the beginning.
