I have Chrome 64-bit. I've been a Chrome user for years now and don't use any other browser

Why do you reckon yours is 39.....

& mine is 37....

(although, I think they've let the 'Canary' project fall neglected by the wayside!)

mine takes 10 secs to open, some pages do not open at all. i had 32 bit prior and had very few problems. ie and ff are fine. i am a bit puzzled

Try to uninstall it and remove the leftover folder to start fresh. If my browser would be starting for 10 sec, I would be already re-installing Windows. A cold boot of my browser takes only 2-3 secs, I have tried 64-bit Chrome and it does not make much of a difference, then again Chrome is slow as it is.

i have done that TairikuOkami and now for the most part pictures on the likes of facebook do not load 50% of the time. I will go back to 32 bit and see how that goes, it was fine prior

well am using 32 bit. its only been an hour but no problems, all my troubles have gone, well at this point anyway

I downloaded chrome 64 bit yesterday it worked great for about 30 minutes then I started running into some issues where it wouldn't load any webpage's and started running sluggish and slow. So I uninstalled the 64 bit and installed the 32 bit and the 32 bit ran perfect. With that said I believe google still has some work to do but I believe it will be amazing once they get the bugs worked out.

The 64-bit is running fine for me. I was using the beta prior to the official release, don't know if that made any difference. It did update my beta, did not have to uninstall then re-install.

well have had a couple of hicups with 32 bit, not as many as 64 though. ie and ff are still performing a1. google are fiddling a bit to much if you ask me. not sure why.

any further views on the 'new' chrome? I don't like chrome because I use a lot of cutting and pasting from emails in my research and chrome cuts the damn background too!

For those who use Chrome: When Chrome is silently updating to the latest version via GoogleUpdater service, it still keeps the old version under: C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application in a folder named after the old version which is unecessary, you can manually delete the old version and save about 300 MB.

On the site they provide a x86 web installer...

Possibly I'm missing something here.

That's what I was looking for. :thumb:

So far I was running Chromium x64 from Download latest stable Chromium binaries (64-bit and 32-bit)
But version 39 is far, far from stable.
Best 64 version I got was version 37.0.2012. Now I'll put Chrome to the test.
