Solved Flash Update Killed My Youtube Audio on 2 Different PCs

Hi topguncp,

Sorry I didn't equate your suggestion to do a mute check with a need to move the slider to actually remove the mute. I guess that is because I have minimal exposure to YouTube in general so I apologize for not understanding how to implement your recommendation. Anyway, you are always a big help whenever you make a post, and most times I understand exactly what your recommendations are; however, this time I was on the OP end, and instead of asking "well how do I do that?", it just breezed over my head, and I miised the boat on that one! Thanks again.

Good you got the sound back. Baffled me as well in the beginning. We're not alone, found this > Adobe Community: no YouTube Flash sound (exc Chrome), other flash sites ok
Seemingly it's a Youtube problem, not flash itself.

Hi 4wd,

Yes, as a non-frequent visitor to YouTube, it certainly baffled me. In fact, it could have been there for a bit and I never even noticed that issue until I went to watch a video yesterday. Thanks again to you and topguncp for keeping me straight on the issue.

Oh well, I've actually only been an active member in this forum for 14 days, and the rest of Septemeber, I was on vacation. It seems like a great place to help a few (if one can) and get some help when one needs it so I'll stick around a bit. Thanks again. my2cents

Well, well, well . . .

I'm running Firefox 24 as my main browser and the latest Flash 11.8.800.168 and I didn't have sound for You Tube either. But, thanks to you, I didn't have to jump through all the hoops you did. I just turned up the sound. :roflmao:

Not that I visit You Tube all that much . . . only when I'm taken there by a link a friend may post.

It's dose dang itty bitty thangs that'll gitcha ever time!
