I tried the beta Nvidia driver 306.2 and now it seems if I d/l anything when screens are supposed to pop up, I hear the two tone sound (as if something gets unplugged and I lose signal, not crashing or freezing my system, just losing the monitor..) so I reverted back to the original driver I had before I ever installed Win 8, the 301.24 (32 bit) ...
..and the only way to get the signal back to the HDTV Vizio is to put in the Win 8 Boot disk and like reboot 3 times .. seems to kick start it or something..
Through all this does anyone think my 8800 GT might be going? Not the cable, thought maybe the software and/or incorrect or bad drivers, but now I'm starting think it might be the video cards itself..
