I have Windows 8 (not 8.1) on my desktop PC. I spend 99% of my time in the
desktop environment since it's non-touch with a keyboard and a mouse. I don't
think I have ever used the snap features on this device.
On my Windows 8.1 tablets, I can snap my desktop screen with any Metro app and
I have done so in the past. So, my wife was on my desktop PC and she had launched
a PDF in one of the default Metro readers and was wanting to view it while accessing
a spreadsheet in Excel on the desktop. I sat down and thought this would be easy I would
just snap the screens. Now, I was using a mouse because again, my monitor is not touch
screen but I could not get it to snap like on 8.1.
Maybe it was the way I was doing it, but I got the impression that Windows 8 won't snap
the desktop and a Metro screen like in 8.1?
