Did Microsoft Fixed Win 8.1 Internet Drops

the fix for this issue is in the Atheros WLAN Driver 10.0.0.274

the link is from ASUS but the driver is generic to install on any Atheros WLAN chipset

ASUS and Acer have both using this version in their newly shipped laptops

That's the version I've been using for awhile, explains why mine has been working. Thanks for the info.

my pleasure, also remember, if you do not use Bluetooth like me, turn it off using the PC Settings > Network > Airplane mode

that will prevent any interference from the Bluetooth Signalrs for better ping on your WiFi signal and no disconnections

Well, knock on wood, I use Bluetooth mouse and all has been working fine for quite some time. Hope I haven't just jinxed myself.

Are your power options set to keep the wireless adapter on? No sleep and maximum performance.

Could always try a different wifi card, they are pretty easy to replace. A local computer repair shop may sell you one cheap.
