Alright so my system specs are.
Computer Type PC/Desktop
System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer
OS Windows 8 64-bit (6.2, Build 9200)
CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
Motherboard Acer Predator G3620
Memory 32GB DDR3 SDRAM
Graphics Card ATI HD 8760 graphics card
Now I'm wondering, how poor of a system this is? I was under the impression when I bought it that it would run reasonably well. But I've found that very few programs even run with Windows 8 for starters, I had to do numerous work-arounds just to install Pro Tools 10, though it runs worse on this system than it did on my near decade old PC.
Also, games run very slowly and poorly, very choppy and laggy.
I've had constant crashes and sometimes will be playing a game and it will just turn off, no crash, no warning box, nothing just turns off, same thing with Pro Tools.
Every time I turn the computer off, there is a new windows update to run. Which seems to make things run slower, sometimes it will take 2 minutes to turn Firefox on, installing programs is almost impossible, requiring compatibility work-arounds, and work around work arounds.
It's just mental, I've heard there's a new update coming called Windows Blue, Windows 8.1 or whatever, but all I've heard about it is that it will bring back the start button.
I'm just wondering if there's any way to fix this, can I downgrade to Windows 7? Is Windows Blue going to fix all this nonsense? Or is it just that my system is junk.
