I don't have Pro VL, so I can't experiment it......
I don't think you would need a VL version. I might be able to tell you it does not work. lol I will see tomorrow if I can get a true version.

So I got an upgrade to win 8 pro. I was able to now add media center. But just to let you know that you can not use the pro key on a Pro VL version. It will activate it but you still can not add media center. Oh well. Thanks for all your help.
