Cannot update Antvirus and Windows update failure

:D I think my happiness was slightly premature i received certain updates, after restarting my router, and restarted my computer as i was asked to do. I go back to windows update and see that everything is good, but just for safe measure i click "check for updates" again and i receive the same error code 80072ee2...

Thanks for sticking by :) Yes i also so that but i looked back at one of your earlier posts and saw that my windows modules installer was not turned on and was on manual startup. I've turned that one and am now checking for updates. I am going to restart once and see if anything changes and i'll let you know if it works

Modules Installer will revert to Manual by itself after it is set to Automatic.
It has a mind of its' own.
I just turn it on if I'm having Update trouble, to make sure it is running.

So after turning on modules installer, making sure that my firewall was allowing the necessary windows updates to go through, it was just the unplugging of my router that had managed to temporarily cure the problem but now even after unplugging the router the network troubleshooter comes with this message:

Occasionally after running both the windows update troubleshooter and the network troubleshooter the "check for updates" works, and one weird thing that i've noticed is that every time the "check for updates" service is not going to work, there's a slight hang in the moving of the loading bar right here:

but if it does work then the loading bar moves through smoothly

Maybe uncheck the box & see what happens.
You can always recheck it.

Nobody else has offered any help.
If nothing else, you could reinstall your OS. :(

It didn't end up working :(
I was thinking of doing that :( But i'm probably going to hold out for a few days since ive got some work i've got to do.
Funnily enough the only that worked was unplugging my router and then plugging it back in..
Thanks for your help though, really appreciate it
