Solved Bsod only from sleep mode please help!

Now my laptop froze for more than 10 minutes so I just held the power button to turn it off then turned it back on still no blue screen.

ok I was watching a video on youtube then computer froze and had a loud monotone sound for about five minutes straight so I just held the power button again to shut it off and turned it back on still no bsod

it happened again while watching a youtube video and volume of laptop was at half way the computer froze and a monotone sound a buzzing sound is hear for over five minutes I held power button again and turned it back on no bsod.

should i do a sfc /scannow

my computer has repeatedly frozen multiple times never got a bsod had to manually press the power button to get out of it. I hope this is not ruining my computer.

Zip up and upload the contents of C:\Windows\Minidump

Also, please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc)
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

OK I did what you said also I disabled driver verifier by just typing in run verifier.exe and then clicking on delete existing settings. Here are both zip files.

ok I just ran sfc /scannow in the command prompt and it said that windows resource protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. Details are included in the CBS.Log

Wow! This is difficult!

I see a few issues with a touch device - and lot's of issues with ASUS Smart Gesture.
Please uninstall the ASUS Smart Gesture and see if that helps.
Because of the lack of reports, I have to wonder if there's a problem with the touchpad.

If removing the Smart Gesture doesn't fix it, I'd suggest temporarily disabling the touchpad in the BIOS (if possible - otherwise in Device Manager). Use a corded, USB mouse while testing and see if the system still has problems.

can you recommend another smart gesture I can install on my windows 8 or I can only use asus software? I really like using the smart gestures. Basically your saying all my problems are due to the touch pad smart gestures?

Sorry, but I don't use Smart Gestures, so I have no knowledge of alternatives.
Try just temporarily removing it. If it fixes things it, then try a freshly downloaded copy (in case the original was corrupted).
You can always reinstall it if you like.

I just marked the thread as solved. I did not remove the smart gestures and have not experienced a bsod ever since running driver verifier and uninstalling the asus usb charger plus and updating all drivers. Thank you very much I appreciated the help the laptop I have now is 10 times faster then when I first got it.
