I would also update your network drivers, these use adf.sys.

If you have a 3rd party firewall installed, I would uninstall it, see if things improve

It could also be malware causing this. Do you happen to be using PunkBuster?

Well I checked to update my drivers, in fact I went through all of them an attempt to update them and every driver was apparently up to date. I had no PunkBuster installed on my device and no 3rd party firewall installed, just the firewall itself and windows defender.

Have you run a malware scan with Malwarebytes, TDSS Killer and a rescue disc of some sort? This could also be caused by an infection on your system.

I just ran Malwarebytes and it deteccted 3 problems which I applied fixes to and restarted my device, I'm going to have to see if the crashing persists from this point onwards and will update the thread based on whether it does or not.

OK, but make sure that you run other tests I stated. You might as well upload a scan log if you like.
It should be located at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs

In the past my laptop has had BSODs in Minecraft and a game called Vindictus, since then I have applied some changes, Minecraft stopped crashing but Vindictus and LoL have continued. I do not play the vindictus game any longer and have counterstrike which performs fine too. I would to say that LoL is possibly the only one that causes crashes on my system.

It seems no other games have caused a crash but I read into it and it was caused by the ntoskrnl.exe driver, possibly could you expand on this and tell me what is responsible for it being faulty as usual I'll attach a bsod file...
