BSOD after start screen, video_tdr_failure (atikmpag.sys)

View attachment 57869

I've attached the folder to this post. When I booted up my PC, the GPU was not sending a signal to my monitor. On device manger, there was an error code 43, a code I received often. Before, I could run a program from Microsoft called FixIt to re-install the GPU, only to have the screen freeze afterwards.

This time, FixIt did not work, and I was still getting a "no signal" on my monitor.

    Windows 8.1
    Computer type
    PC/Desktop
    CPU
    Intel i3 4130
    Graphics Card(s)
    Gigabyte R9 270x
Nothing really significant in the Event Viewer logfile.
I'd suggest trying another video card (preferably and nVidia card - and removing the ATI drivers completely).

EDIT: If you must purchase one, don't forget to purchase it from a shop that'll refund your money if it's not needed.
Good luck!

These black screens can be a real pain as there is very little with which we could troubleshoot a black screen.
