Solved BSOD after playing BF4 0x0000000a

No what about the Dump file is that pointing to the network card as well? I have downloaded the latest update from the killer website, what furthur actions should i do?

And is there anything else causing an issue or is the just the network card.

Thanks

Sorry for not being clear. The Driver Verifier enabled memory dumps point to your networking driver (e22w8x64.sys)
While in most cases this is evidence of a driver problem, there is a possibility that it could also be a hardware problem.
As replacing the drivers is easiest (and cheapest), we'll try that first.

Another thing to try is to:
- download the latest update
- uninstall the current drivers
- then install the latest update (this will help if the old drivers are corrupted in some way - and if the installer doesn't replace them).

I don't see signs of anything else causing problems, but the true test is to update the networking drivers and see if the BSOD's stop. Sometimes the causes don't show up in the reports or the dump files - so we have to look for clues and try different things.

2 generalizations:
- a BSOD topic most often takes 2 pages of posts to finish. If it's a difficult one, it can take 4 or 5 pages of posts.
- I usually wait a week without a BSOD before I think a problem may be fixed. And I usually wait for 2 weeks until I think it is fixed.

This one blames the video card drivers.
If you haven't replaced the video card drivers, I suggest that you do that next.
To do it you'll:
- download a fresh copy of the video drivers
- uninstall the current video drivers
- install the freshly downloaded video drivers
- monitor for further BSOD's

Synaptic driver is still loading.
Please do this:
1) Create a Restore Point using System Restore
2) Create a Repair disc (Recovery Drive in Win8.1):
Win 8 - Press "WIN" and "R" to open the Run dialog...type "RECDISC" (without the quotes) and press ENTER
Win 8.1 - Go to the Start Screen and type in "recoverydrive" (one word, without the quotes). That will start the recovery drive process. You will need a USB drive of at least 512 mB - and all data will be erased off of it. If copying the recovery partition the drive size will be much, much larger (16 - 32 gB drive required).
3) Test the System Repair disc/Recovery Drive to make sure that you can get to the System Restore entry when you boot from the disk/drive (you may also want to try actually using System Restore to make sure that it works)
4) Download this free program (Autoruns for Windows) and use it to disable any instances of SynTP.sys that are starting (or any other Synaptics entries) (DO NOT DELETE - only disable by removing the checkmark in the left hand column)
5) Check in Device Manager (to include showing hidden devices from the View menu item) and ensure that any instances of SynTP.sys (or any other Synaptics entries) are "Uninstalled" (DO NOT DISABLE THESE).
6) Check in the Services applet (services.msc) to be sure any instances of SynTP.sys or any other Synaptics entries are disabled.
7) EXPERIMENTAL STEP (only try if you're certain of your abilities - I have not tried this step myself). Search the registry (use regedit.exe) to locate any entries that have the driver name (SynTP.sys) or the program name (Synaptics). Delete these keys (it's advisable to back them up first - but you've also backed up the entire registry when creating a System Restore point in step 1. Alternatively, you can set the values in these keys to DISABLED (but the "how" of this is beyond the scope of this).
8) Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and rename the SynTP.sys driver to SynTP.BAD (search the hard drive for it if it's not in C:\Windows\System32\drivers).

In the event that the system doesn't boot:

1) Boot from the System Repair disc/Recovery Drive and use the Command Prompt option to rename SynTP.BAD to SynTP.sys
Code:
ren C:\Windows\System32\drivers\SynTP.BAD C:\Windows\System32\drivers\SynTP.sys
21) Boot from the System Repair disc/Recovery Drive and use the System Restore option to restore the system to a point before the changes were made.

Good luck!

If this doesn't fix it, then run these hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics

I tried disabling all instances of Syntp in autoruns but the problem is my keyboard stops working, so whats the best course of action?

Also I have uninstalled and did a driver total uninstaller and reinstalled beta drivers, if it blue screens and its video drivers i dont know what else to do XD

Thanks!

The best course of action is to:

- download a fresh set of the latest, Win8.1 compatible keyboard software/drivers
- uninstall the current set from your system.
- install the freshly downloaded software/drivers

Install the latest, Win8.1 compatible Killer Network/LAN driver from here: MSI USA - Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more

Install the latest, Win8.1 compatible video drivers from the AMD website ( Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD )

If the BSOD's continue, then run these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics

Did you get new Razer Deathstalker drivers?
Which of the hardware diagnostics have you run?
The tests are:
- Hard drive
- Memory
- Malware
- Prime95
- Furmark
- other video
- CPU

yes i downloaded the razer synapse program that has the drivers, and i have just run memtest nothing else

I did a refresh of Windows 8.1 so im gonna see if anything comes up

So now when I play BF4 i get a red screen and then comp restarts, problem is no dump files are created. This is driving me up the wall XD

Ok so i did a FurMark Test My card stays at 86 Celcius then at 11:00 mark i got a page fault error

here it is

But when i restarted and it came to the desktop i got this message but no crash dump saying UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP

Maybe this is a sign we are getting close maybe not, just wanna say thanks for helping though i would have given up by now

I have also run Driver Verifier, I installed the Network drivers from MSI website but it still blue screens, also the network is in the motherboard does that mean i have to change the motherbaord??

I don't think that this is the motherboard.

First, I wonder about the compatibility of your Razer DeathStalker Ultimate keyboard.
The specifications show it working with Win8 but not with 8.1
Try using another keyboard (and uninstalling the Razer software) to see if that helps.

If that doesn't fix things, then I'd suspect your video card. This is because:
- you have the red screen error
- you had a problem when running FurMark
- the memory dumps don't point to anything in particular (usually a sign of a hardware problem)

I would suggest trying another video card. If you don't have one that you can try, then purchase one from a shop that will allow you to return it for your money back.

Good luck!

I changed my video card so im going to try it out tonight, and I am also going to try a new keyboard and will post back

Thanks

EDIT: I have removed and reinstalled thwe new ati 14.9 drivers, and I am still getting blue screens and I am also using a new graphics card, could it be not enough power is going to the cpu or the ram voltage is to high? I can not seem to find anything about stock resets on the motherboard or find an optimal settings for games, I dont know whether im overclockerd or not.

I have now the culprits ntoskrnl.exe which is always annoying to see and also now win32k.sys

Help lol im getting worried im doomed XD

What were the results of the other hardware tests?
- hard drive
- memory
- malware
- Prime95
- Other Video tests
- CPU test

This still looks like hardware to me.

FYI - ntoskrnl.exe is the kernel (core) of the operating system. If it was actually to blame, you'd seem many more problems with your system than just the occasional BSOD.

Memory dumps show that the CPU isn't overclocked - and that it's running at 4.0 gHz (which is the stock speed for this processor).
While this isn't a 100% statement (there are other means of overclocking) - it's reasonable to assume that you're not overclocking as you don't recall doing anything that would overclock the system.

To reset the UEFI/BIOS to default values (manual at this link: MSI USA - Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more ) :
Press the DEL key when booting to enter the UEFI/BIOS
In the Save and Exit menu there will be an item that says "Restore Defaults" - select that.
Then select the Save and Reoot item and reboot the system.
(this is on page 3-17 of your manual)

Since I'm running out of ideas here, let's try a couple of longshots:
- please uninstall the wireless USB XBOX controller software and then physically remove the device from the system.
The older versions of this device had BSOD problems - but I haven't seen any recently.

Try this version of the Intel Smart Connect Technology drivers (it dates from 2014 while yours dates from 2012): https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23109&lang=eng

When you try the other keyboard, be sure to uninstall all the Razer stuff (and this should remove the Synaptics driver also).

I see mention in the manual that the board has built in graphics. Is this so? Is there a way to disable it in the UEFI/BIOS?

No Problem in memory Did memtest, nothing with hard drive, didnt run the malware one cause i do not know the link, Prima red screens like Battlefield does at around 11 min, in terms of graphics on board I have no idea, could that be the issue, i mean my hdmi cable isnt plugged into the onboard its in the ati, maybe i should replace the motherboard

Replacing a motherboard is a big thing. What if the motherboard isn't bad? That's why I suggest other tests before guessing it's the mobo (there are no effective motherboard tests - they'd cost too much to develop, and it'd be for a product with a limited lifespan).

IMO it'd be easier to try a new video card. And, in most cases, you can return a video card to the shop that you purchased it from for a full refund. Getting an RMA on a motherboard will be more difficult, and they are likely to charge you a 15% restocking fee.

Try the Prime95; Furmark, other video, and CPU tests. They're free and they'll help to rule out other components.

Ok the cpu tests were good, and i updated my motherboards bio to 1.7 apparently they said it improves ram compatibility, and now at the point in furmark where it red screens usually at the 11 minute mark it passed it and continued to 21 minutes using 99% load. I think that was it, i think my memory wasn't compatible with the motherboard it showed no errors and showed on my pc but IDK i am going to try bf today and see if all goes well it was something simple i completely overlooked and wasted your time on XD

got another BSOD so don't know what casued it

Ok so I was talking to the motherbaord people they suggested I install a fresh copy of Windows 8.1 and download drivers from their website and hide the drivers from windows update. As it turns out after doing that I started to try a online game and iI BSOD, now the weird thing is if i play a singlwe player game with not multiplayer componant, I can still play the game for hours on end without blue screening.

I am starting to think my ethernet hardware in my motherboard is faulty but ast this point is just me speculating, cause this is taking so long. I asked Razer and they told me that Synapse was compatible with windows 8.1 and I have a new blue screen so I am wondering what I can do to fix this? I played the game longer than what I played it before, at 24 min I BSOD usually i BSOD at 20 min. So any solution fort this is greatly appreciated, and if there are drivers for updating can you provide the links i was looking every where but Google does not really give me anything and i didnt find it at the msi website.

Here is the Latest BlueScreen

Sorry for the delay in responding, but one of the helpers here is on vacation and I'm up to my neck in new Win10 stuff also!

With a clean install of Windows, there's generally only a couple of things that'll cause a BSOD:
- bad installation media
- bad hardware

When diagnosing BSOD's, there's 3 things that can cause it:
- 3rd party drivers (we've ruled these out)
- hardware (this is what we suspect is the problem)
- Windows drivers (the clean install should have ruled this out)

As I've already suspected hardware, that's the most likely thing here.
The first step is to rule out everything that you can test - that's these diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics

Ok good news, I have decide to buy new ram, and it looks like MSI told me that my ram isnt on the compatible list, so I purchased new ram thats compatible and everything seems working fine now no bluescreens when gaming or anything I am not going to mark it solved yet gonna see in a week but it looks like all this was was incompatibility with the motherboard which is kinda said since thery told me it would work before I purchased the old ram

I have this feeling I wasted your time and mine, thanks a lot for your help, you honestly have been one. You have been patient and gentle with me, and I appreciate the time you take to not only help me but everyone else!

I will see you in a week!

Thanks again :D

It's never a waste of time. I learn something new every day on the forums.
But, as a retired Sergeant Major in the Army, I've never been called "patient and gentle" - but thanks for the compliment! :0)
