Hi I have a similar problem if not the same ... I've tried ASUS K55A Qualcomm Atheros BlueTooth Driver 8.0.1.306 for Windows 8.1 64 bit ... and it does not work.
the various errors that I get when I try different drivers including the above, are they in the picture with numbers 1 and 2.
Does anyone have any idea how I can solve this problem?
The computer I have is an ASUS N56VM with windows 8.1. There are also other drivers for other devices in the computer that can not be installed after windows 8.1 been installed. could it be that the bluetooth device require any other device works? such as support for hotkeys.
Thank you! or "Tack som fan!" in swedish. Thanks to your link i found the sulotion. I followed the following steps:
- Simultaneously hit the "windows" key & the "r" key. - type in "services.msc" & click OK which bri8ngs up Services(Local) window. - double click the "Bluetooth Support Service". - Click the "Log On" tab. - click the "This account" circle. - Type in "Local Service" without quotes. - delete anything in both Password fields and leave blank. - click Apply & OK which takes you back to the Services(Local) window. - In the upper left of the window, you should see Bluetooth Support Service in bold. - underneath the upper left title should be a hyperlinked "Start" the service. click it & you should be back in business.
I followed that sequence with everything going just as described until I tried to delete the passwords. No way can I get it to accept that . When I delete the passwords and press Apply it just puts them back in. Tried repeatedly every way. Suggestions very welcome! John In Thailand
