any fix for via hd deck crackling sound in windows 8

I really wish I had some kind of VIA audio device here so I can try to get this to work. Even still, I'm downloading the latest Win 7 driver right now and going to have a look at it. Maybe there is something in the .inf I can figure out about mappings or something. I have no idea at this point, but curiosity has me wanting to see for the heck of it. I'll post if I find anything hopeful or interesting.

put my old motherboard back in asrock g41m-vs3 and sound works fine on windows 8 consumer preview so trying it out before windows 8 release preview comes out
