Thanks for finding that. I HAVE had issues with W7 and W8 sometimes (both on AMD and Intel) machines in the past when installing/configuring initial systems with a lot of memory (over 4GB).

I don't know if that is/was the fix (removing some memory to get it to work, and then upgrading the memory afterward) but it's worth looking into. I also posted on that thread to see if maybe that person could expand on the changes he made. We'll see if he returns.

Again - thanks for catching all these opportunities - maybe we'll catch the solution yet.

I've been doing a bunch of install/bench testing of boards/hds and drivers - learning a little and maybe there is light at the end of a very long tunnel.
