Update
Still have the problem.
Things I've noticed:
The Windows Store won't connect, but I don't use it anyhow.
Google Music Manager won't connect, I do use that.
I have a school email address that I access through Outlook. It doesn't work anymore.
IE & Chrome have problems loading some...

I went through your guide (great job, btw) but I still have the problem.
Eset found the most crap and I removed what it found.
I still can't get it to stay on "Automatically detect settings..."
No luck so far.

I think I am infected with PUM.PROXY.
I had RogueKillerX64 remove it, but it keeps coming back and I can't figure out how I got infected in the first place.
Something keeps changing my proxy settings.
Every time I change it to "Automatically detect settings", something is changing it to "Use a proxy server for your LAN..."
I have ran several virus and adware scanners and found nothing.
Any help appreciated.

I had to do a Windows 8 refresh. It's seems to be working now, I just have to reinstall everything.:cry::cry:

I freed up more space on drive C: so now when it crashed it had enough space to create a memory dump.

I have just been using my computer for the last 3 or 4 hours and it's been running fine. I went to the bathroom and came back a couple minutes later and I had the BSOD IRQL_Not_Less_or_Equal.

I'm using Windows 8-64bit and I have been getting the BSOD occasionally(usually when I am away from the PC). I have tried running SFC /Scannow and it stops at 63% with the error "Window Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."
I have also tried running SFC from Safe Mode...
