Did it come with OEM OS? I had that HP, slightly different model, came with OEM. I reformatted and the problem cleared. OEM OS is bloated.

I have 8 GB machine, 64 bit Windows 8 pro. Windows 8 instantly uses up 45% after cold boot. There are some startup I know, but when added together there's no way they're taking up that so much space in RAM.
