I'm using a laptop. Using the keyboard from the desktop computer did not work. Edit: I mean: the laptop is what is having the problem and connecting an additional keyboard did not fix the problem.

Thanks for replying so quickly, Brink! I checked the key and there is no apparent problem with it. It seems there is something else going on, causing P to be typed at a pace much slower than the pace that holding down the key would cause.
