    Hi guys, sorry for the delay, got very busy and haven't been on my laptop. Suffice to say that neither of those solutions have solved my issue. Any more ideas?

    Uninstalling the specific update did not eliminate the problem. Do I have to do some sort of clean up afterwards? Just gave it a shot, will see if the error keeps popping up![/FONT][/COLOR]

    Will do, will update in a second. Edit: Okay, I found that specific update. I assumed you were going to recommend uninstalling it, so I am going to go ahead and do that and restart to see if it has any effect.

    So I just ran SFC /scannow and it returned the following notice: "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix someof them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not supported...

    Hey guys, I hope you can help. Normally I'm pretty decent with fixing my own machines, but this one is evading me. Recently (a week or two ago, probably after an update) I keep receiving a pop-up error stating that "Windows update manager has stopped working..." which stays for a few seconds...
