hi i have an acer aspire v5-473pg with windows 8 installe i5 and with nvidia geforce 740m
my problem is as up some updates ( i really dont know if windows update or nvidia) changed my laptop performance. my laptop can play dota 2 around 50-60 fps plugged or unplugged. Its like saving power when not gaming when using batteries but it can also boost up if you open up any game even thou you're using batteries and is unplugged from the power socket.
after a bunch of updates , i installed nearly a 900mb/1000mb updates because i haven't updated my laptop since i go to college, and i also update my nvidia drivers to 344.11 ( the latest driver as of now). And now while playing dota 2 when unplugged from the power socket i only get 20-30 fps but when i hook it back up and charge it while playing the fps gets to 50-60fps again. I tried changing the battery option of my laptop still didnt work. also tried the battery option in nvdia still didnt work.
